Please note : CCCofSWFL does offer a variety of services. We are not a one-trick pony operation, unlike a flooring-only or painting-only company. This artisan performs many different services. Thus, each quote is individually written. We cannot create a universal quote form and simply fill in the blanks.

All CCCofSWFL quotes are for the total project cost. it is not a materials and labor quote. A quote provides sufficient information to determine the total project cost, including the client’s basic expected costs and items the client supplies, beyond the materials and duties included by CCCofSWFL. In a CCCofSWFL quote , unless otherwise stated, CCCofSWFL procures the materials. When a client agrees to the basic quote information, a much more in-depth description is provided in the contracts. Often, a design schematic is provided because many CCCofSWFL services require this detail for a completely irrefutable agreement on the final results.

A FREE quote is by the very definition of the words , a no cost to the prospective client estimation of what the project will cost in this stage of the process. Some free quotes can provide the definitive pricing for the total project cost at this stage.Some initial free quotes depend on the client accepting the initial schematic draft without requiring changes or updates. Please remember, YOU are requesting a FREE quote. A solid day or more of the CCCofSWFL designer’s time is spent ascertaining the entire project’s material and labor needs, including protection of the project site throughout the home beautification upgrade process. This includes the design of schematics and the estimation of all (researched) costs involved.

Because material costs fluctuate daily, CCCofSWFL must research all materials again for every initial quote it prepares.

CCCofSWFL firmly believes that every competitor and the prospective client must do their own homework on the prospective project concept. It is not any company’s responsibility to waste their time doing other people’s homework for their project whether they are capable or not. Since this is an unpaid service you are requesting, you get exactly A FREE QUOTE at this stage to determine if you wish to proceed to the next stages where CCCofSWFL completes your project.

Most people feel they deserve this labor at no cost. This is absolutely not reasonable in any realm. Although CCCofSWFL provides a project cost quote, this quote will not include detailed wording or a schematic for the client to keep unless they pay a designer fee for the quote process alone, or unless the project is signed and the TO-START sum is given to lock in the project for cccofswfl.

In the CCCofSWFL design process we create hand-sketched, TO-SCALE schematics with a dual purpose.

CCCofSWFL uses these to-scale schematics to determine the list of materials neccessary to complete the proposed project. This is necessary for CCCofSWFL to correctly gather the list of materials needed but not necessary to render to the client in the quote process. Paying CCCofSWFL a designer fee as any designer would require to render and hand over a design without completing any other task besides the design itself, would allow the Client to receive a copy at the quote stage. Again, CCCofSWFL feels any competitor should do their own homework, and CCCofSWFL should be paid for our homework.
The TO-SCALE schematic would be signed by the client abd CCCofSWFL as the BIBLE / rule of undeniable end results agreed upon. This will be signed by both parties at contract signing and a copy will be retained by both parties at contract signing. After the TO-START sums are rendered to CCCofSWFL at contract signing, CCCofSWFL has won the job and the client will definitely be provided a copy of the schematic (note : CCCofSWFL still was not paid for the quote process).

The same CCCofSWFL concept applies to both the designer and estimator portions of any CCCofSWFL project.

The Definition of an Estimator

An Estimator is a paid position in construction and other fields. A paid project estimator is a professional who calculates the time, money, materials, and labor required to complete a project. They sit at the center of the pre-construction or planning phase, developing detailed budgets to ensure a project remains financially viable. Most clients refuse to pay an estimator the fee they deserve to accomplish this task. Site Preparation: Often there is many pre-project items of material cost and labor such as protecting floors with Ram board taped down across the traversed floors and the immediate floor area of the project location within the stucture.
Site Mobilization: Transporting heavy machinery / tools, scaffolding , and ladders to the site.
Early Procurement: Securing long-lead materials or placing non-refundable deposits to prevent supply chain delays. Making sure all necessary items are on site before they are needed. whether procured by CCCofSWFL or the client.

NOTE : In essence, the TO-START SUM is the funds required to achieve the point of actually “swinging a hammer,” beginning the physical process of completing the installation of the surface(s) home beautification upgrades.

What is the Definition of a Phase Payment?

A phase completion payment (often called a milestone or stage payment) is a partial payment made to a contractor after a specific, predetermined phase of work is finished. Instead of a single lump sum, funds are disbursed in increments as verifiable project targets (like a foundation or framing) are achieved.

Why Use Phase Completion Payments?

Why Does CCCofSWFL Not Use a Project Percentage Completion Payment Program?

Percentage completion payments can cause severe cash flow problems because the revenue recognized on paper often outpaces actual cash collected from clients. Relying on subjective estimates can distort a project’s true financial health, while frequent change orders or inaccurate initial budgets can lead to overbilling and leave a business unable to cover remaining project costs

Using this method (or relying heavily on a percentage-of-completion billing schedule) presents several key risks:

Subjectivity and Inaccurate Estimates: Because the process requires estimating the cost-to-complete or the effort expended, it is highly subjective. Unforeseen delays, material price fluctuations, or unapproved change orders can skew your metrics, leading to misstated revenue and a false portrayal of profitability.
Cash Flow Disconnect: Recognized earnings in your books don't guarantee the cash is in the bank. Underbilling customers—where the amount billed falls short of recognized revenue—can create significant cash constraints, meaning you might struggle to pay subcontractors or purchase materials.
** A perspective Disconnect: The perspective of the visual percentage of completion in a total project percentage will often differs between the contractor's eyes and the client's eyes. This difference in perspective is the main reason CCCofSWFL uses a phase completion payments program.

Why Use So Many Phase Completion Payments?

There are often many phases to a project. There could be 50 or more phase payment sums. There will not be 50 separate checks to write. Please don’t be alarmed by this. Allow this to be explained.

CCCofSWFL would like payments on Fridays as the contracted period length between payments. This does not mean CCCofSWFL will require a payment every seven days, it means the provision is there that CCCofSWFL can request payments on a weekly basis and the client has contracted to pay them.

How Do the Weekly Payments and Phase Completion Payments Work in Unison?

Whatever phase completion points have been reached and verified by the client by Friday, these are all compiled for the Friday payment. In this realm the CCCofSWFL team can receive paychecks in a weekly format that the client should be amenable to pay since the pre-designated phase completion points have been achieved. This does not mean CCCofSWFL will absolutely reach a payment point on friday. CCCofSWFL may be just another day or two from the end of the currentlt underway project phase. it might be ten days. It might be twoo weeks before CCCofSWFL requests the next phase payment payout. There is the provision for the requested payments to be as close to each other as weekly. It does not mean CCCofSWFL will ask for a phase payments to date of completions that close in time spans.

How Long a Quote is Valid and Why?

A change in design or materials by the prospective client has a very high chance of affecting the project price.

Because material costs fluctuate daily, CCCofSWFL must research all materials again for every quote they prepare. Although this has no bearing on which political party CCCofSWFL supports, prices fluctuate for more than just gas. Quotes that are not accepted on the same day as the CCCofSWFL meeting in person or the day the quote is sent to the prospective client expire. Tariffs affect prices. Politics and Shipping containers stuck at some port affect prices. The cost of basic living for every supplier associated with material procurement affects prices. The company operation costs of every supplier involved affect prices.

etc… etc…. CCCofSWFL has no control over supplier pricing.

CCCofSWFL must re-evaluate a quote if more than a week has passed since the initial or a subsequent quote was given, or if the client requests changes.
